Three tiers. One commitment.

Every CRIOS token carries a tier badge based on the integrity of its underlying source. The tier is published with the token and printed on the retirement certificate.

Tier 1

Tier 1 — Real-time measured

Real-time measured. Source data captured live from utility APIs, IoT devices, or certified telemetry.

Tier 2

Tier 2 — Registry-issued

Registry-issued. Recognized standards body with established methodology and third-party verification.

Tier 3

Tier 3 — Legacy bridged

Legacy bridged. Pre-existing credits ported into CRIOS with full provenance preserved.

What CRIOS will never do.

Bridge unverified credits

Every token traces to an accredited source. Anonymous or unverifiable bridges are rejected.

Co-mingle categories

Renewable, efficiency, mobility, forestry, and capture tokens are never pooled into a single 'carbon' instrument.

Issue without methodology

Every category requires a published, versioned methodology before any token is minted.

Hide retirements

Every retirement is public. Every certificate is verifiable on-chain.
