For issuers

Your meters. Our accounts layer.

CRIOS does not measure anything itself. It's the accounts, issuance, and retirement layer that sits on top of a measurement platform that already meters distributed generation at the plant level. Karbera, which measures distributed generation in Brazil, is our live reference integration.

What CRIOS provides
Accounts

Owners link a plant, prove ownership, and hold whatever is issued against their metered generation.

Issuance

Metered kWh from your platform, multiplied by an official displacement factor, written once as an append-only testnet event with a receipt.

Retirement

Public, downloadable retirement receipts for the pilot. Hold · retire (pilot) · trading follows regulatory clearance.

Provenance

Every event links back to your platform's measurement and the official factor applied — nothing is estimated where a meter reading exists.

Our approach

Brazil first, then market by market.

We started in Brazil because an official grid displacement factor is published there (0.3271 tCO₂/MWh) and a live measurement partner, Karbera, already meters distributed generation at plant level.

We add markets one at a time, only when both conditions hold: an equivalent official displacement factor exists, and a metering partner is in place. We do not name future registries or metering partners before that integration is live — this page describes the layer CRIOS provides, not commitments from third parties.

Integration process

Four steps to integrating a measurement platform.

01
Apply
Submit organizational details and a summary of what you meter and how.
02
Methodology review
We confirm the official displacement factor that applies in your market and review your metering approach.
03
Technical integration
Engineering teams pair on data delivery so metered kWh can flow into CRIOS issuance.
04
Pilot issuance
Issuance begins on testnet, tier-labelled, with no tokens for sale and no funds settling.
